Description
The Friendship of Salem is a replica of an East Indiaman Trader that was built originally by Enos Briggs in 1797 in Salem Massachusetts. The original Friendship sailed in her day, From Salem to Canton China and to points along the European Coastline. Today this recreation of the Friendship is maintained by The National Park Service at Salem Maritime, National Historic Site. This is the first National Historic Site in the country in 1938.
