Description
Lighthouse reflection at low tide. as the late afternoon sun warms the air as I enjoy Fort Pickering Lighthouse. Fort Pickering dates back to pre-revolutionary times and is one of the reasons that Salem and the ships in its harbor were never taken during the revolutionary war. Salem harbor is protected on three sides and is the reason it was chosen by the original settlers to Salem town.
The Light house is a navigational aid between baker island lighthouse and derby lighthouse inside Salem's inner harbor.
