Description
Old Kings highway lined with maples and Vermont fall colors. The Kings highway was mapped out in the 1850s by a concerted effort of map makers from Boston, Philadelphia and New York. Back in the day it lead folks from Pomfret to Hartford in the east. There are signs that warn you not to go past a certain point due to road quality. This may because of the fact that the Kings highway turns into the Appalachian hiking trail for a short distance. Thus your car (mine for sure) might not like this road. But in the autumn, the New England fall Foliage is glorious in this rural Vermont setting.
