Artist's Description

They say the sea is cold, but the sea holds the hottest blood of all. Part of a wonderful poem by D.H. Lawrence. I like to go on a whale watch to be amazed by these large mammals. My last whale watch allowed us to watch a rescue group untangle a humpback whale. I was amazed that the whale allowed the small craft to get so close. In the past a small craft that size would be carrying men with harpoons. I wonder if whales remember things like that... I think if they did we would never get back on the ocean without their ok...
