Sun peeking through some clouds to highlight the trees. This is the side of the Middlebury Snow Bowl near Ripton Vermont. The fall color created a tapestry over the hillsides. Sometimes the best gifts are those that come when we're not expecting them. Here, I could've waited all day with the sun drawing patterns on the Hills around me and never once might the clouds have lined up in such a way to eliminate this patch of trees. But the narrow hole in the clouds did line up illuminating the Vermont fall foliage on the side of the hill. I was able to make many pretty pictures this day but this is one of my favorites.
