Rustic covered bridge in New Hampshire by Jeff Folger. I was asked if I remembered the name of this covered bridge. :-) I told her I remembered the morning air, the feel of the light on my face as the dawn rose behind me and the sensation of cold as the surface of the "Pemi" slide over my shoe as it slid off the slippery rock and into the stream, The name of the bridge no idea but the morning, I could never forget... (kidding about the name) Franconia Notch State Park is located inbetween the between the high peaks of the Kinsman and Franconia mountain ranges. The Flume is a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. You can leave the visitor center and do a two mile loop which allows you to see a great vistas and Covered bridges like the Flume covered bridge seen in this view.
