Low hills surround Mount Chocorua. The hills are covered in a carpet of fall colors that run the gamut of the rainbow. The sun has been playing hide-n-seek and one moment the colors are illuminated and the next they are not. This is a waiting game to get the best fall "peak" colors and sometimes you wait one day to many and a wind or rain storm comes through and much of this New Hampshire fall color is gone. So it's always a guessing game to see if you win and get the shot or Mother Nature takes it all away for another year. And you are left wondering where to go... I can tell you, go south and explore, because it's just around the next bend, take that road less traveled and see what lies ahead.
