Back in the day it lead folks from Pomfret to Hartford in the east. There are signs that warn you not to go past a certain point due to road quality. This may because of the fact that the Kings highway turns into the Appalachian hiking trail for a short distance. Thus your car (mine for sure) might not like this road.
