Christmas comes to New England in many forms. And Motif Number One in Rockport Massachusetts is a Lobster Shack with a Maritime background by Jeff Folger.
Due to New England being the birthplace of our fishing fleets you would expect the hardy souls who brave the harsh winter elements to make a living to show the Christmas spirit by decorating their working areas and boats with Christmas decorations. Motif #1 started as a lobstermans shack and to hold fishing line and nets to provide shelter from the elements to the men who made it their job to bring in those nets and repair them. Many years later Motif #1 became the obsession of artist and then photographers who would travel from around the world to render their vision of this seaside shanty.
