The name of this covered bridge won't endear it to many if they only see it's name listed. The Slaughterhouse covered bridge is quite a good looking Vermont red covered bridge. In fact all five of Northfields covered bridges are red. (I love red covered bridges) This one I enhanced to make it digital art as I believe that is how covered bridges appear best. They are about history and our past. Slowly they fall into disrepair. But some towns like Northfield Vermont spend the money to keep them maintained and all are still functioning. Mostly due to the fact that there are people living on the other sides of the bridges that would have to travel well out of their way to get someplace without the covered bridge.
