Ten pound Island lighthouse is in Gloucester harbor. On this day I was traveling past the lighthouse and it was really socked in by a heavy wet fog and light misting rain. You can see the lobster fishing boat and a man in the back cleaning up after the days catch. Seagulls are following closely in hopes of scraps being thrown in the water. Ten pound Island lighthouse has a white conical tower and is 57 feet above the high tide mark. The tower is 30 feet high and it used to have a fifth order fresnel lens but now has a 250mm lens. The light is a red beacon that comes on for three seconds.
