Derby Wharf lighthouse became a part of the National Park Service in 1979 when it was transferred from the Coast Guard. I went out at dusk to capture the lighthouse with its red light reflecting on the blue waters of Salem Harbor. Being a balmy summer evening many people were walking up and down the wharf where a high tide is just above the water line of the harbor.
