photography and textures
blue horizon started as a normal photograph but I overlaid a couple of textures that I have been creating over the past few years. This one is a marble texture that was in black-and-white and a gradient laid over and under this image of Pickering lighthouse which is on Salem Massachusetts winter island. During the revolution (1775 to 1783) Salem's harbor was never taken by the British due to the canons at for Pickering regarding the mouth of the harbor.
42 31 36 N70 52 00 W Fort Pickering Lighthouse was built as one of the Range Lights marking the safe shipping channel into Salem Harbor. Fort Picking Light and Derby Wharf Light were the third pair* of Range Lights guiding navigation into the harbor. you can see my image of Derby light on fine art America at this page http://vistaphotography.artistwebsites.com/featured/inner-guidance-jeff-folger.html
