An NH cemetery filled with orange and red fall colors. The tombstones highlight grey against the brighter fall foliage colors. A marker from the 1800s where many of the names have very short dates which makes me believe it was smallpox or similar outbreak. These things were common back then before the discovery of vaccines. I submitted this to Yankee magazine in 2004 and It won their first fall foliage contest. It was published in 2005.
