Description
The Poet's Seat Tower was built in 1912 to honor Frederick Goddard who was a Greenfield Massachusetts resident. he was a fellow poet who stood in the company of Hawthorne, Emerson, and Tennyson. The first tower was a wooden one that was built in 1873 and was replaced by this brick tower in 1912. This view is looking South along the 400' ridgeline towards the Rock which is another North/South ridgeline that has an elevation of around 800'
