The roar of the rapids coming down through the valley is loud in your ears as you eyes gaze on the Vermont fall colors in the final rays of light of the day. We were traveling on NF10 or National Forest road #10. This is a simple road that the farmers use to travel down from the upper areas of the mountains where they live, farm or work. I could probably find it again and I wonder if it would still be the same rough wilderness road or more tame as more people move into the hills bringing civilization with them...
