This image of Thacher Island Lighthouse was taken from Eden road in Rockport Massachusetts. The temperature was -4F degrees and with the winds gusting from 25-35MPH the wind chill dropped to a balmy -38F. The order of the day was layers and covering exposed skin. We were working the Thacher Island Lighthouses from 6:19 to 6:55 so with 25 minutes in the subzero temps, my thumbs were in pain, my mustache was ice covered and my batteries were unresponsive, a good morning, I would say!
