The composite image by Jeff Folger captures the mesmerizing journey of the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, through a sequence of striking moments above Sheldon Vermont.

At the outset, the sun's radiant disk begins its gradual descent into totality, casting a serene glow across the surrounding landscape. As the moon inexorably encroaches upon the sun's brilliance, the first image in the sequence portrays the sun partially obscured, with a crescent of light fading into the shadow's embrace.

Transitioning further into the eclipse, the next three images unveil the awe-inspiring phenomenon known as Baily's Beads. These delicate, shimmering beads of sunlight peek through the rugged lunar terrain, creating a captivating display of fleeting beauty amidst the celestial ballet. Each bead, a testament to the sun's unyielding luminosity, appears to dance along the moon's rugged edge, momentarily illuminating the darkness.
