Description
The road down to the Flume Gorge Covered Bridge. This was captured well before the State Park "Officially" opens. Franconia Notch State Park is located inbetween the between the high peaks of the Kinsman and Franconia mountain ranges. You can find it by driving up Route 93 into the White Mountains and follow the signs. The parking lot is huge and if you go through the Visitors Center, they will give you a map to all the attractions. The Flume is a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. You can leave the visitor center and do a two mile loop which allows you to see a great vistas and Covered bridges like the Flume covered bridge seen in this view. The other "covered bridge" is actually the Pine Sentinel bridge and its a covered walking bridge.
