We stopped at a small lake reflecting the massive mountains reflections back to Heaven. The golden autumn colors of September on the Kenai along with the late afternoon sun made the golden grass glow with the remaining rays of the day. The solitude of this moment was not lost on us as the late afternoon sun was quickly dropping below this valley. A pair of swans are just out of sight to your right and I bet if we waited long enough a bull moose or grizzly bear would have made an appearance. It was quiet and stil on the Kenai Peninsula. The Kenai Peninsula is a large peninsula jutting from the southern coast of Alaska in the United States. The name Kenai is probably derived from Kenayskaya, the Russian name for Cook Inlet, which borders the peninsula to the west.
