The striped maple or red maple turns a firery red color where the whole tree is red from top to bottom. 2013 is the year of the color red. Maples of all colors seems to be pushing the red pigment. we had rain early then dry late so that the red colors hightened to a new level,not seen in years. This coupled with an unprecedented amount of bright sunny days we were blessed with bright reds across New England.
