I don't think anyone could get a cigarette ligther or match to light and if they did it would stay lit long. View from below of Niagara Falls from the pedestrian bridge. The roar of the waterfall dropping violently on the rocks is something you hear as well and feel in your bones. I try to imagine that In 1959 they shut the water off to the American side of the waterfalls t let the Corp of Engineers study whether the U.S. should shore up the falls and keep the rocks from wearing away and falling below the falls. In the end they decided to nature take its course.
