Artist's Description

The No. 40 steam train in Essex CT makes its run down the tracks. The smoke from the steam engine filters up through the yellow and orange fall foliage this October day in Connecticut. I talked to one of the maintenance workers and he said the other train was built in China. The whistle sounds off at each road crossing along the trains route with a long mournful wail sounding just like in the movies.
