Artist's Description
The autumn has finally arrived in the Southern White Mountains. there is still green to be seen but most of it is now pine trees. In the foreground the maples and birches are in fine form showing the red, gold and oranges. The colors are anywhere from a week to almost two weeks late. I tend to believe that the fall colors are more on time than in the past few years when I along with other forecasters were saying that colors are early. Well no we had a massive correction and we are probably a little late compared to 5-10 years ago.. All I know the weather hasn't been too rough on the leaves with little wind and rain. so this will go down as the late year and I wonder what next year will hold for us? :-)
