We found this while we were crossing route 16 between New Hampshire and Maine. I'm not sure which side of the border this is on as my phone GPS had zero connectivity at this point. This was taken on the third of October and I thought for sure that there would be no color this far north in New Hampshire and Maine but I was wrong. This is as near to peak fall foliage as one is likely to see at any given time. It's not perfect because there are several trees in the foreground that are bare but as far as I can tell all the rest of the trees except for a few shrubs along the river have turned fabulous shades of orange and red. I also shot this at 1 PM in the afternoon and while it might be more perfect in the early morning or late afternoon I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.
