The bleeding heart was something that was always in my mother garden. She had a few favorites but this one was one that made her happy. It's also known by it's latin name: Lamprocapnos spectabilis (formerly Dicentra spectabilis), a popular garden plant with arching sprays of pendent red and white (or pure white) flowers.
