Description
Piecies of industrial creation. Manufacturing in the US is far from what it once was. People costs have driven the making of equipment overseas where they don't have to pay their workers as much as we do today. In the 1700s to the early 1900s we were a manufacturing powerhouse because in the mills we wouldn't pay our workers beyond a meager wage yet alone a living wage. No medical or Social Security meant that good were produced at a much cheaper rate then we could do today. We're starting to bring manufacturing back to our shores but the cost of people means that good are much higher than the same goods overseas. Today the companies get around the high cost of people by using computers to control the machines that create these pieces. So instead of 4 or 5 lathe workers a single comupter can be programed to make these parts. . #Vistaphotography, #JeffFolger,
