Description
The warm morning light on Marblehead harbor is deceptive. You can see the seasmoke or seafog playing across the surface of the harbor's surface. This means that the air temperature is well into the negative numbers. It takes a lot for the formation of seasmoke. Primarily it take frigid air temps over warmer water. The water may be near freezing itself but that is 30+ degrees apart from where the air temps are on this morning. I bundled up so no skin is exposed and yet my fingers are still feeling the burn of the temps. I keep them as warm as I can. From Fort Sewall on one side of the Marblehead harbor to Chandler Hovey park and Marblehead Lighthouse on the far side, the seasmoke dances in time to the wind.
