Scenic New England - Jeff Heimlich

A seamen aboard the tall ship lynx is up in the rigging. The sails need to be released and this is not a ship with automatic systems. Sails on the lynx are done the old-fashioned way with men and women hauling on ropes and setting the mainsail of the ship as it moves out into the harbor to get underway. The lynx stopped into Marblehead Massachusetts and we signed up for a ride out on the outside harbor. There wasn't as much wind as we would like and we ended up motoring back into the harbor. Even without a suitable wind it was still a thrilling ride with the creak of the timbers and the members of the crew singing sea shanties.
