The sky opens up and God looks down on the weary sailors. In just a little while they will be safely in port. The rays of God's love look down on them and make for an incredible sunset. The overcast clouds would have been boring if it was a solid ceiling of clouds but being broken the late afternoon sunlight was able to poke through the clouds illuminating the sailboat on the way home.
