Description
A gargoyle at Hammond castle in Gloucester Massachusetts stands guard from his lofty perch. The Gargoyle was originally used as part of the roof design to keep water from running down the side of buildings and weakening the mortar. Gargoyles are usually an elongated fantastic animal because the length determines how far the water is thrown from the wall. It doesn't pay to walk close to a building during a rainshower!
