I surprised the mallards and a heron when I walked to the shore of Lake Chocorua. Lake Chocorua is a picturesque lake in north central New Hampshire with commanding views of the summit of Mount Chocorua. Lake Chocorua, is located in the town of Tamworth, New Hampshire. The best color is usually after the 5th of October but as you can see from this image, the fall colors are already here along the shore line on 2 October.
