I found Joe's pond as I traveled south on Route 15 in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. This view can be found at a pullout right near the Narrows. The Vermont fall colors were particularly nice this morning in the Northeast kingdom. And I've been told about Joe's pond but I didn't know exactly where it was. As I was driving down Route 15 I could see a body of water on my GPS but there was no OpenView to see the actual pond. It had been foggy all morning and I snapped many shots. Just before I came to route to this view opened up with a line of Maple trees that were spectacular in their orange color set against a blue sky and the fog on the pond. The New England fall colors are always difficult to predict where they'll show up and most times I can get close but it takes some hunting to locate a really good scene.
