This digital art piece is from one of my photographs. Rockport harbor is home to many working lobstermen and as such the inner harbor in late summer is full of lobster boats and a few fishing boats. At 5AM most people are still asleep but soon the lobstermen arrive at their lobster boats to start warming the big diesel engines. Next, they make a stop at the wharf to take on a load of fresh fish to bait their traps on the way out. They spend the morning till the afternoon pulling their traps and checking them for lobsters, they band them and drop them in a cooler, rebate the trap and either put in back in the same spot or maybe if this spot isn't producing they will pick a new spot. At the end of the day, they will bring their catch in and get it weighed and paid for.
