Derby wharf lighthouse from the rigging of the ship America. Sailing out on a cloudy afternoon. Looking out from the rigging of the ship as we are sailing past Derby Wharf and Derby Wharf Lighthouse and head into Salem Harbor. New England Photography like this is what I strife for. Basically every image falls into this catagory but finding the blend to make it interesting is the hard part. The lighthouse itself isn't thrilling but what reprsents is. Helping sailors navigate into Salem Harbor since 1871. Today it's maintained by the National Park service at Salem Maritime National Histori site.
