Dawn arrives at Castle Rock by Jeff Folger. Taken Christmas eve in Marblehead Massachusetts, created by a slow multi-second exposure allowing the waves to break against and over the rocks several times giving the misty feel to the water at the shoreline and then added a little soft texture to the sky making it more of a digital painting from my original New England Photography. This view is to the left of Castle Rock. There are a set of stairs cut into the rocks but getting down to the rocks below is not for the faint of heart or for those of less than good balance because the rocks are slick with sea water and seaweed. Castle Rock, once known as Great Head was the lookout for the returning fishing fleet, enemy ships and pirates. This dimnuative park can be reached by driving out on Marblehead neck on Ocean Ave. Parking on the street is free but limited to 2 hours.
