Description
This modest home in Concord National Park was first the home to the children of Caesar Robbins. He was born a slave and was probably emancipated around April 19th 1775 when he likely served at the North Bridge in Captain Joseph Robbins' Acton company. He was in the forces that marched on Fort Ticonderoga. He settled here in Concord, married twice and had six kids. "The progree from an absolute to a limited monarchy to a democracy, is a progress toward a true respect for the individual" Henry David Thoreau
