Description
Hot air balloons took off in the early morning light in Queechee Vermont. The visitors were standing where ever they could get a clear view of the sky. I was just up river from the Quechee covered bridge. The Quechee balloon festival usually happens on Father's Day weekend. On Saturday morning they made for the sky on an almost calm breeze. So 19 balloons took off after the morning fog cleared and due to a High pressure centered over Quechee, there was little wind and the balloon pilots were able to find winds traveling in different directions and stayed around the Quechee covered bridge and then folled the river to the pond and I hear that two of the balloons made it over to the Quechee gorge and went down inside the gorge. I also heard that this morning was the best in 20 years.
