I got word that the fall colors on Captain's pond were phenominal and Lisa and I took a detour from heading straight home from our journey to Vermont. The day was gray on the way there but as I walked down to the pond, the afternoon sun began to clear in the west and the dark clouds began to break up. This provided wonderful light on the trees along the shoreline while the could above and behind the trees were a much darker gray. The New Hampshire fall colors were suddenly ablaze with the fall colors of the rainbow.
