Chocorua pond shot with my digital camera. a large rad maple tree had fallen over and laid on the surface of the pond. The reflection was spectacular. It's Late afternoon on Lake Chocorua and the fall colors softly spread out along the lakes edge. The reason I like this view is because it's more than just tons of color, it's the evergreens that counterpoint the red and orange of autumn. Having the green mixed in with the red and golds really make the New England fall colors stand out all the more. The beach is a sandy one and there are places to park your car in the lot nearby. You can get here via Route 16 and once you hit Tamworth in New Hampshire you are here. In fact you can't see it but just to camera right is Route 16! You may miss the parking lot entrance on the right side of Route 16 but you won't miss the lake. There is also a small pond behind the camera that will provide a few OH! moments in the late afternoon.
