Description
Blacksmith shop covered bridge was built by James Tasker and I assume it was located near to the local blacksmith. It was renovated in 1963 with funds from the NPS (National Park Service). It is also known as the Kenyon Hill Bridge. The Blacksmith Shop Bridge is in pretty good shape but only people cross it now and even that is iffy. If you are looking for it, keep your eyes open. It is only visible in between the brush. It sits down below the road level so it's not easy to know it's there unless you know it is there. Follow Town House Road and the bridge lies on the eastern side of the road. It crosses Mill Brook. It is easy to get to but finding it is a labor of love since so much brush hides it from those driving along the road.
