Are you my friend? Literally, this is what he said. Just like Mister Ed. He would look up at the apple tree at the edge of paddock. He had eaten all the ones that were with in range of his greedy mouth. So he asked me to climb the tree and throw some down to him. First point, NO, I would not do that as my tree climbing days are far behind me. Also, second and more importantly, unless I had permission I wouldn't feed someone's animal no matter how much they begged. But beg he did... I loved the fall colors on the other side of the road framing his head. Oh the things you find on the back roads of Vermont.
