Description
Dingleton Hill covered bridge by Jeff Folger. The Dingleton Hill covered bridge is in Cornish mills NH. it takes Root hill road over the Mill Brook The bridge was built by James Tasker who is known to have built at least eleven bridges in the area. The bridge was rededicated on October 23, 1983 with Hyland Tasker, a great-grandnephew of James Tasker in attendance. The Dingleton Hill Bridge is also known as the Cornish Mills Bridge. As with most covered bridges, there is the offical name and then there is the name that the local's call the bridge as well. I prefer the Cornish Mills bridge as I want to know who thought up Dingleton? If the builder was James Dingleton I would have understoon it. I would have thought the Tasker bridge would have made more sense. Today we find it in autumn on October 10th the the trees around the covered bridge are of various colors and in different stages of leaf cover. A few are bare and many of them are still green with a few in gold or orange.
