Description
We stopped along the Kenai river which with the heavy mineral content turns the water a soft green cast. the river was very still and it gave an almost perfect reflection of thesurrounding mountains that line the rivers edge. The golden autumn colors of September on the hills along the Kenai river reflected the golden glow of the tamarack evergreens. The solitude of this moment was not lost on us as a motorboat came racing along to break the stillness of the moment. Up till then It was quiet and still on the Kenai river. The Kenai Peninsula is a large peninsula jutting from the southern coast of Alaska in the United States. The name Kenai is probably derived from Kenayskaya, the Russian name for Cook Inlet, which borders the peninsula to the west. (last part from Wikipedia)
