Description
Christmas at Nubble lighthouse in Maine means throngs of photographers show up for the lighting of Nubble. They deck the lighthouse and the buildings in Christmas lights and around the 12th of December they light up the island in Christmas cheer! This is several shots stacked together and I managed to bring out the fog or mist moving in off the ocean with th Christmas lights and the red beacon of the light house and brought out many for the stars in the sky. "Nubble" Lighthouse is a small, rocky island a short distance off the eastern point of Cape Neddick, Maine, about two miles north of the entrance to the York River and York Harbor. The Nubble Lighthouse is also known as "The Nubble," and the Cape Neddick Lighthouse. Originally, there was a bell on the lighthouse that was used in bad weather. It was replaced by a fog horn in 1961.
