Description
The Dall sheep, Ovis dalli, is a species of sheep native to northwestern North America, ranging from white to slate brown in color and having curved yellowish brown horns. These were on a hillside and I took a chance to leave the truck in Denali National Park Alaska. I was on an opposite hill directly across from them and while I didn't get a good shot of it. two Males banged their heads and horns creating a huge thundering crack between the hills. I did not want them to feel I was a threat so I headed back down to the safety of the truck. This was not a preserve shot or a zoo shot. They were wandering free in their own element and for a moment I joined them.
